ASRock B450M Steel Legend Review
UEFI & Test configuration
I state this on just about every ASRock motherboard review and I think it is still worth mentioning. The best UEFI in the business in as far as I’m concerned is from ASRock. Now it may not have any one particular feature it is best at, but overall presentation, ease of use and speed, it is without competition. Relevant options are placed together, the interface is intuitive, easy to read and eye catching. Even on such a budget board there’s a memory profile. Yes it’s only 3,200MHz but the fact that it’s there is impressive enough a this price.

As always with motherboard tests, differences between boards tend to be academic for the most part. It is only in situations where there is drastic performance difference that one should be concerned. Any performance differences between boards are usually within the margin of error and as such, one should look to the numbers as performance you should expect, rather than a competition against another board (let alone one with a different Chipset). All testing was done with the AGESA 1.0.0.4 BIOS 2.90
