Vince “k|ingp|n” Lucido Takes 3DMark 11 Single GPU Record With EVGA Classified Combo

World renowned extreme overclocker Vince “k|ingp|n” Lucido has taken the 3DMark 11 single GPU world record using a “Sandy Bridge-E” Core i7-3930K processor, G.Skill RipjawZ DDR3 memory and an EVGA combo consisting of an EVGA X79 Classified motherboard, EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified graphics card and EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500 Classified power supply.

k|ingp|n’s score of 16538 marks beats the old record of 16259 marks held by Polish overclocker “ryba” which was set using an MSI Radeon HD 7970 Lightning. In order to reach this world record score the CPU was running at 5,600 MHz on all six cores with HyperThreading enabled, the G.Skill RipjawZ DDR3 was running at 1,200 MHz (2,400 MHz DDR effective) CL10-11-11-31 and the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified core and memory at at 1,977 / 1,903 MHz (7.61 GHz GDDR5), up from the stock speeds of 1,161 / 1,800 MHz (7.20 GHz GDDR5).
