As solid state drives continue to come down in price, we keep getting better performance and reliability and larger capacities. Well reliability is debatable actually because the newer 25nm NAND chips have fewer write cycles than the older 34nm chips, but we are assured by manufactures that this will not be an issue for most people. That point will remain debatable, but what is true is that the drives are indeed getting faster, and compared to last generation drives, these products are significantly faster. 120GB seems to be the capacity of choice for most people serious about using an SSD, which is in reality just enough to install your operating systems and a few applications. Since we had a few similarly priced drives with us, we decided to pit them against each other and see which would fair the best. These were our findings. Read the full story
