More and mouse peripherals come out each day, but hardly any cater towards left-handed users. The Corsair M55 RGB PRO addresses that issue by offering an ambidextrous design, with a perfectly symmetrical layout. This offers an identical experience irrespective of the handedness of the user. What’s more, the mouse comes in at a rather low price point with an impressive featureset on paper.

Today we’re having a look at said mouse as well as an overview of the Corsair MM250 mousepad, an XL mousepad measuring 450x400mm. The Corsair M55 RGB PRO is a mouse focused at gamers of either the MOBA or FPS genres. Additionally, it caters for any type of grip, be it claw, palm, or fingertip. The mouse sports no less than eight programmable buttons as well as two individually controllable RGB zones.

The Corsair M55 RGB PRO uses the PixArt PMW3327 optical sensor, which has adjustable polling rates of between 125 and 1,000 Hz. This gives the mouse a response time of 8, 4, 2, or 1 ms. The CPI is adjustable between 200 and 12,400 CPI in 100 CPI increments. Whether the high end is of any practical use is questionable, but support is there. However, it should be noted that the maximum CPI of the sensor is 6,200 CPI. Higher figures are achieved using automatic interpolation through software. The primary buttons use Omron D2FC-F-K switches rated at 50 million clicks each, and there are two individually controllable RGB zones. All of these adjustments are done through the powerful Corsair iCUE software.
