AORUS RTX 2070 XTREME Review
Ashes Of The Singularity | 3DMark | Unigine SuperPosition
Oxide Game’s was one of the first wave of developers to deliver to us a Direct X 12 title. Be it the game’s ability to address multiple cores or taking advantage of the sheer number of independent AI units it can put on screen, it is a relevant performance measurement for both GPUs and CPUs. Once again the RTX 2070 is delivering frame rates one would consider very comfortable for 4K gaming. If this game is what you play or may play regularly, you’ll have plenty of performance even at the highest graphics fidelity setting.
Unlike with the games, synthetic benchmarks reveal a rather sizable difference between the RTX 2080 and the RTX 2070. Even when overclocked, the former is simply too far ahead. That said, basing your purchasing decision purely on these types of tests may lead into you overlooking the RTX 2070. Unlike with these tests the performance between the GPUs is closer. Of course for the competitive overclockers, you’re going to have to look to the RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti at the highest levels. For the rest however, this card is plenty fast.
