AORUS SSD – NVMe Gen4 SSD Review
Benchmarks II
Anvil Disk Utilities
ANVIL’s Disk Utility benchmark gives the nod to the AORUS SSD, with an expected difference between the drives according to AS SSD. Any other time I would have considered these within the margin of error, however, since this margin – regardless of how small – is consistent, it isn’t an error in measurement at all. Rather it’s the subtle differences between the the two drives and their firmware tuning.
IOPS performance on many drives in this class is purely academic. The numbers are much higher than what the target audiecen for this drive would be able to take advantage of.
More of the same here when you look at QD16 random 4K performance. The difference in write performance though is quite sizable offering over 10K more IOPS. Even though read performance is modestly ahead for the AORUS SSD, it’s good to see write performance showing the SSD’s advantages a little bit more.
