Coolaler Sets New LGA1155 Memory Speed Record Using Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Motherboard
World renowned overclocked “Coolaler” has done it again, this time setting a new memory frequency world record for the LGA1155 platform. Using a Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H motherboard employing the Intel Z77 chipset and no less than four 4 GB DDR3 memory modules, Coolaler managed to hit an incredible 1,530 MHz (3,060 MHz effective) at 11-14-14-35-CR2 timings. In order to achieve this, he used a BCLK of 109.3 MHz and the 2,800 MHz memory multiplier.
There is no doubt that an Ivy Bridge processor was used, as Sandy Bridge’s maximum working memory multiplier was 2,133 MHz which allowed for a maximum of 1,184 MHz (2,368 MHz effective) with a BCLK of 111 MHz. How this translates to real-world benchmarking performance is yet to be seen, but the ability is most certainly there. Source — TweakTown
