Corsair Crystal Series 680X RGB Review

Conclusion

For a $250 (R4,400~) case, Corsair has delivered, there’s no question about that. If one looks at everything else in the price range, they offer singular advantages over the Crystal Series 680X, but can’t bring it all together to make it all as compelling.

The design, is a far cry from the square cases of years gone by and instead we find angles and other visual design improvements. This case is RGB lighting friendly without a doubt, but offers this in a tasteful package that works even with no lighting at all. There’s a mastery of the minimalist design and this is seen throughout the entire case design.

So well put together is this package that small oversights such as the exclusion of the Commander PRO become ever more glaring. With this level of proficiency in just about every element of the case, it is fair to expect this everywhere. This is where Crystal Series 680X drops the ball a little. Even with that, for this price I’m not sure there are more appealing cases, at least in this form factor. In as far as aesthetic qualities, workmanship, overall design and execution, few if any match the Crystal Series 680X.
