GeForce GTX 680 Final Specifications Leaked
Today, Chinese website PCOnline.com.cn released what appears to be an extract from the Nvidia Media Kit documentation for the GeForce GTX 680 which is reported to launch on 22 March. The leaked documentation reveals the specifications for the card, which does indeed have the rumoured 1,536 CUDA cores. The GPU’s baseline clock speed is set at 1,006 MHz, with Dynamic Clock Adjustment of up to 1,058 MHz during heavy load. The 2 GB of GDDR5 memory is clocked at 1,500 MHz (6.00 GHz effective) and connected via a 256-bit bus, offering 192 GB/s of bandwidth.
Power will be delivered to the card via two 6-pin PCI-e power connectors, and the card will have a low TDP of 195 watts. Display connectivity is taken care of by two DVI ports, one HDMI port and one DisplayPort. The GeForce GTX 680 will be fully PCI-Express 3.0 compliant which, while offering little to no gains when run at the full x16 speed, can offer a slight boost when multiple cards are installed and the slots drop to x8 lanes each.
