Below the keyboard is the touchpad, which is off-center and slightly towards the left of the laptop. This placed it directly between your hands when typing. On either side of the laptop are stickers which hint that this isn’t your standard business laptop. Core i7 9th Gen, GeForce RTX, Sharp 240 Hz – these are some of the signs that there’s something a bit special about this otherwise standard looking laptop. To the bottom right of the screen is another sticker, identifying the screen as being Pantone Certified.

The screen on the GIGABYTE AERO 15 CLASSIC-XA has an incredibly thin bezel on three sides, with a thicker border at the bottom for the screen’s driver and the webcam. Yes, the webcam is below the screen. It has been angled up so that it is directed at your face with the screen directly in front of you. However, this has a drawback which we will cover later. Above the keyboard is also a grid for sound from the 3D audio speakers.

Flipping the laptop over, the ventilation holes take up about a third of the bottom of the laptop. This allows airflow to the high powered hardware inside. The Core i7-9750H, GeForce RTX 2070 and NVMe SSD are high performance components which run hot. With the keyboard’s lighting on, two fans are visible through the ventilation holes. There are no quick access panels for RAM or storage upgrades, but rather a single, solid panel. However, this is easy enough to remove with the thirteen easily accessible screws.
