PCMark
These test suites rank the overall workstation performance of a system using a combination of photo editing, (offline) video calling, (offline) internet browsing, typing, spreadsheets, and other tests.
PCMark 8
Comprising of four different tests, of which three can be run with or without OpenCL acceleration, PCMark 8 is up first and has several different scores. We focused on the conventional tests, leaving out the OpenCL accelerated tests as they add a series of subtests rather than alter the conventional ones.
First up is the Home test, which resulted in a score of 4,479 PCMarks on power and 2,908 on battery. Moving to the Creative test, the score was 4,191 plugged in and 2,743 on battery power. Next up was the Work test, where the laptop scored 4,251 and 2,939 PCMarks on power and battery respectively. Finally, the Storage test 5,055 PCMarks with an average bandwidth of 468.63 MB/s on power. It was not repeated on battery power, as there are an abundance of storage results on page 7.
PCMark 10
While plugged in, the laptop spat out a final score of 5,383 PCMarks, while on battery the score dropped to 3,274. Looking at the subtest results, Essentials and Digital Content Creation dropped by around 33 %, while Productivity took the biggest knock at close to 50 %.
