ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (Wi-Fi) Review

Benchmarks – Futuremark 3DMark & PCMark 10

Depiste the lower core count, when the overclock is high enough the Ryzen 5 3600 along with the ROG Crosshair VIII Hero can not only match the older platform but beat it quite handily. True to the very essence of 3DMark Fire Strike, game benchmarks respond in a similarly positive way to the new platform as you will see later.

PCMark10 pretty much represents the same thing as 3DMark (not surprising since some subtests of PCMark10 are from 3DMark). As an overall system, the X570 platform offers significantly better performance. Again the core count advantage of the 2nd generation Ryzen CPUs is negated by the improvements to X570 and 3rd generation Ryzen.
