XFX RX 5600 XT THICC III Ultra Review

3DMark & Unigine SuperPosition

The XFX RX 5600 XT just as with the 5700 XT has a particularly strong, 3DMark FireStike Ultra score. Besting the surprisingly competent the RTX 2060 Super graphics card when overclocked, but just as with the RX 5700 XT. When we switch to the compute heavy TimeSpy test however it isn’t as strong.

Unigine’s SuperPosition benchmark can be quite taxing on any modern GPU, but the XFX RX 5600 XT holds it’s own delivering just over half of what the RTX 2080 Super can and not too far off the RX 5700 XT despite the vast differences in capabilities.

As it stands, 3DMark FireStrike Ultra is a more relevant representation of current games than TimeSpy Extreme. The latter exaggerates the differences between the GPUs in ways present games do not always match up to. Having said that, future titles will most certainly swing this towards 3DMark TimeSpy.
